Maine Governor Serious About Welfare Reform

Governor Paul LePage, a Republican, wants Maine state law to limit welfare benefits to three years, down from the current five. He also wants an assets test. He would also require photographs on EBT cards and would ban people convicted of drug felonies from receiving welfare.
