Hypothetical Poll Shows Chris Sununu, Maggie Hassan In A Dead Heat In New Hampshire

If New Hampshire's Republican governor Chris Sununu were running for U.S. Senate and the election were held today, it would be a tight race.

A recent poll released by the University of New Hampshire showed Sununu in a statistical tie with the state's incumbent Democrat, Maggie Hassan. Sununu had 49 percent support while Hassan had 48 percent,while 2 percent of voters said they were undecided.

A lesbian who made an informal agreement with another woman to have a baby for the lesbian and her partner can keep the baby even though the biological parents object to the way she's raising him, the Massachusetts Appeals Court has ruled.

The state's second highest court cautioned that the "terribly unfortunate case" does not set a precedent for future informal surrogacy arrangements and urged the Massachusetts Legislature to enact a statute dealing with such cases.
