Home Sales Plummet In Maine

Home sales are down in Maine as a result of the coronavirus emergency.

April saw a 15.4 percent decline in home sales compared to April 2019 in the state. It went down from 1,259 sales last year to 1,065 this year. It's the biggest drop in home sales when comparing the same month in one year to the next since June 2011, according to the Portland Press-Herald.

Give Us Coronavirus Nursing Home Numbers, Some State Legislators Say

State legislators unhappy with the amount of information the Massachusetts Department of Public Health is providing about coronavirus cases and deaths at individual long-term care facilities are supporting a bill that would require the information to be made public.

Massachusetts Senate Bill 2708 would require the state's public health agency to publish every day on its web site the number of coronavirus cases in each town or city that has at least 25, including nursing homes and assisted-living facilities by name.
