Ever Diaz, a 19-year-old man originally from Guatemala, lives in Springfield, Massachusetts. He crashed into a state police cruiser in October 2017 while driving under the influence of alcohol, and late Friday night he crashed into a Springfield police cruiser while driving under the influence, police say; his lawyer says he graduated from a vocational high school in Springfield, has a work permit, and has a full-time job teaching English to Guatemalan migrants, according to MassLive.com.

The Whydah sank in 1717 of the coast of Wellfleet on the Outer Cape; the remains of the ship were discovered in 1984, along with much of its cargo, and a museum dedicated to the pirate ship is in West Yarmouth; researchers are testing the DNA of a descendant of the pirate captain to see if it matches a femur they found inside a large solid mass pulled from the wreck, according to The Cape Cod Times.
