Groton To Keep Bible on Town Seal

A petition warrant article at Town Meeting in Groton seeking a committee to study the town seal failed. One resident whose family has lived in the northern Massachusetts town for hundreds of years said:  "There are those amongst us who would like to introduce change. To them I say:  Go to hell."

Maine Governor Calls Proposed Time Zone Change ‘Insane’

The state Legislature in Maine has given preliminary approval to a bill that would make the Atlantic time zone (which includes the Maritime provinces of Canada) the time zone of Maine, if Massachusetts and New Hampshire agree to it. Maine Governor Paul LePage, a Republican, says he'll veto the bill.
