GOP-led panel passes bill for oversight of Iran nuclear deal

WASHINGTON (AP) — The GOP-led House Foreign Affairs Committee on Thursday approved legislation that would give Congress greater oversight of the landmark nuclear deal with Iran.

Passage of the bill comes as the United States is poised to begin lifting sanctions against Iran, possibly as early as this month, as Tehran fulfills its obligations under the July 14 agreement.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Arizona Sen. John McCain said questions surrounding Ted Cruz's right to run for president since he was born in Canada should be explored, even as some argue that Cruz is still considered a natural born citizen.

Speaking on the Chris Merrill Show in Phoenix late Wednesday, McCain said concerns raised by Republican front-runner Donald Trump over whether Cruz can be president are legitimate.
