A Boston Globe columnist is defending Boston Mayor Michelle Wu's "Electeds of Color" party.

"There was outrage when the invite mistakenly went out to the entire Boston City Council, not just the six councilors of color," the Boston Globe's Shirley Leung wrote in a column published Tuesday, December 19. "Then the real horror set in:  the realization that white people are not welcome."

When Great Barrington police received a call earlier this month that a middle school teacher had handed students a book depicting animated sex acts, a plainclothes officer visited the school. The officer could not locate the book.
