A Brookline rector in a same-sex civil marriage is set to become the Episcopal Church's new bishop of Connecticut this weekend.

Reverend Jeffrey Mello, who has served as rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brookline, Massachusetts for the past 11 years, told The Hartford Courant that the story of Thomas's initial lack of belief in the resurrection of Jesus is one of his favorite in the Bible.
