Brockton Pearl Harbor Survivor Recalls Lost Comrades, 76 Years Later

George Hursey, 96, was serving in the U.S. Army at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked on December 7, 1941. "By the edge of Pearl Harbor, all you see is burning ships," he recalled, as he and other artillery soldiers navigated through burning fields and dead bodies; he stayed in touch with the 110 survivors from his unit after the war, but he thinks all of them have since died.
