Adrian Gonzalez is done playing professional baseball.
Gonzalez, 39, played Major League Baseball from 2004 to 2018. That included a stint with the Boston Red Sox during the 2011 and 2012 seasons. However, the 39-year-old won't be playing in the pros anymore. He announced his retirement on Instagram over the weekend.
A former member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives died over the weekend.
Raymond Jordan (D-Springfield), one of the first black members of the legislature, died on Saturday, February 5. He represented the state's 12th Hampden District from 1975 to 1994. His cause of death has not been made public yet. He was 78 years old.
