Former Marty Walsh Aide Dan Koh Has Lead In Democratic Primary for Third Congressional District, Poll Says

Dan Koh, former chief of staff to Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, has a lead in the crowded Democratic primary to succeed retiring U.S. Representative Nikki Tsongas (D-Lowell).

Koh, 33, drew 19 percent support in the UMass Lowell-Boston Globe poll, over state Senator Barbara L'Italien (D-Andover) and former Obama administration official Rufus Gifford, who tied at 13 percent.

A Republican challenger for governor has a slight lead in deeply Democratic Oregon, and it's being attributed to voter fatigue with resistance to President Donald Trump and horror over the antics of Antifa outside a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in the state's largest city.

Kate Brown, a self-identified bisexual married to a man since 1997, unexpectedly became governor of Oregon in February 2015 when the previous governor resigned because of a criminal investigation of him and his fiancee. Brown was Secretary of State at the time and therefore next in line to become governor of the state, which has no office of lieutenant governor.
