Former Maine Legislator Opening Pot Shop Next Month

A former state legislator in Maine is expected to open up a medical marijuana dispensary next month.

CentralMaine.com reports that Ed DuGay, a Democrat who represented the 33rd district in the Maine House of Representatives from 1998 to 2006, will open a place called Hallowell 4Twenty in Hallowell. It is expected to open on July 4. The city council granted him a license for the business Monday, June 8.

Amtrak Downeaster Service To Resume Next Week Between Maine and Boston

Amtrak's Downeaster is ready to resume service between Brunswick, Maine and Boston, Massachusetts after nearly two months of no service.

Starting on June 15, there will be one round trip on weekdays between the two stops, according to the Penobscot Bay Pilot.
