Former Harvard Chaplain Fending Off Calls To Resign As Bishop

Bishop Richard Malone is saying no to calls for him to resign as head of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo because of the way he handled sexual conduct by priests there.

"Let me be clear:  My handling of recent claims from some of our parishioners concerning sexual misconduct with adults unquestionably has fallen short of the standard to which you hold us, and to which we hold ourselves," Malone said during a press conference Sunday, according to The Buffalo News. "We can do better, we will do better."
