First Massachusetts First Gentleman Dies

Chuck Hunt, the first "first gentleman" in the history of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, died on Tuesday, December 21.

Hunt, 67, was married to Jane Swift, 56, who served as the acting governor of Massachusetts from 2001 to 2003. Swift, the lieutenant governor, took over as acting governor when Paul Cellucci was appointed U.S. Ambassador to Canada.
