Feds Refusing To Return $46,000 in Cash Seized During Traffic Stop

The driver of the car had no illegal drugs in the car when he was stopped on Route I-95 in New Hampshire, but a police dog determined that there had been drugs in an empty bag. A New Hampshire state trooper seized the cash on the theory that it was drug money and the federal government wants to keep it; but a third party has come forward and says the money is rightfully his.

Northampton Restricts Police Surveillance Cameras Donwtown

Police say the cameras would make downtown safer, but some residents and members of the Northampton City Council decried the diminishing of privacy. An ordinance passed late this week says "surveillance technology" can't be used in the downtown business district for a period of more than 24 hours.
