Feds Offer No Answers on Why Man Got Deceased Father’s Social Security Payments for 17 Years

Federal officials haven't said why it took them 17 years to realize that a central Massachusetts man was keeping Social Security payments meant for his deceased father.

David K. Brunell, 57, was sentenced to three years' probation in U.S. District Court in Worcester on Tuesday, March 5, escaping jail time in part because of his precarious health, according to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.
