Father of Teen-Ager Who Fell Into A Sewer Drain Suing City
A 16-year-old boy was walking home in Nashua, New Hampshire during a heavy rainstorm when he well into a sewer shaft and drowned in wastewater one night in October 2016; the boy's body was found two days later in the Merrimack River in Tyngsborough, a northern Massachusetts town just south of Nashua. The boy's father says the Nashua public works department did little to prevent the sewer manhole cover from becoming dislodged even though they knew there was a problem; city officials say they can't figure out why the manhole cover moved.
