Falmouth Road Race Organizers Mulling Options After Falmouth Selectmen Cancel Summer

Organizers of the Falmouth Road Race aren't sure when or whether they'll hold one of the most famous running events in the country, now that the Falmouth Board of Selectmen has cancelled most public events in the town through August 31.

The 7-mile road race is the largest event on Cape Cod, often drawing about 100,000 people, including about 10,000 runners. It starts in the seaside village of Woods Hole and runs along Vineyard Sound, ending at Falmouth Heights.
