Endicott scored 86 points Saturday. Nichols gained 56 yards.

That pretty much tells you how things went in Beverly.

The Gulls crushed Nichols 86–0 at Hempstead Stadium on October 24, improving to 7–0 overall and 4–0 in the Conference of New England. They led 51–0 at halftime.

And while the offense had plenty of fun, defensive lineman Nick Ferguson put together a stat line worth reading twice.

Eight tackles. Two and a half sacks. Three tackles for loss. A forced fumble. A fumble recovery that he returned 30 yards for a touchdown.

That is a busy afternoon.

Ferguson had plenty of help. Jackson Adams recorded three sacks and seven tackles. In all, Endicott sacked Nichols quarterback Will Migliaccio 10 times, according to the official box score.

Nichols finished with minus-14 rushing yards.

The Gulls also scored three defensive touchdowns. Caleb Luz recovered a fumble in the end zone, Will Shannon returned an interception 36 yards and Ferguson added his scoring return.

On offense, Matthew Richardson needed just four catches to pile up 145 yards and two touchdowns. His scoring catches covered 39 and 86 yards.

Quarterback Shea Lynch completed 11 of 15 passes for 224 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. Markys Bridgewater rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.

Endicott finished with 530 yards on 52 offensive plays — more than 10 yards per snap.

The Gulls scored a school-record 12 touchdowns.

When your defense reaches the end zone three times and your opponent averages less than a yard per play, the scoreboard gets ugly fast.
