Massachusetts U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren sent a letter yesterday to the federal Securities and Exchange Commission, pushing the commission to investigate Tesla.
Warren wrote that the investigation would be justified due to "conflicts of interest, misappropriation of corporate assets, and other negative impacts to Tesla shareholders," according to CNBC. The letter is dated Monday, July 17. Warren says she is also concerned over the seeming lack of independence between owner Elon Musk and Tesla's board.
