Massachusetts U.S. Senator Ed Markey has proposed a bill to provide funding to study the barriers to "gender-affirming care."
The bill would appropriate $25 million for the National Institutes of Health and another $25 million for the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention" to study the barriers to gender-affirming care, and the effects these barriers have on people's health."
