Dr. Seuss’s ‘Chinaman’ Illustration Racist? Not So Fast, Say Some Who Know Context

The illustration that led to three authors to boycott an event at the Dr. Seuss Museum in Springfield was actually a rethinking by artist and author Theodor Seuss Geisl as his views on race matured. The mayor of Springfield is outraged by the museum's decision to remove the mural.
