Harvard University has the worst record when it comes to sanctioning scholars, according to a new report from the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression.
The report, released on Thursday, April 20, looks at efforts from universities to sanction scholars for protected speech since 2000. Among other findings, the report found that only four scholars were sanctioned in 2000 compared to 145 in 2022. Harvard leads the country in attempted sanctions and successful sanctions with 23 and 12, respectively.
