Former President Donald Trump has a commanding lead in a Maine presidential primary poll released this week.
The former president has 77 percent support from likely Republican primary voters on Super Tuesday, March 5, according to the University of New Hampshire poll. This puts him well ahead of former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley, who had 19 percent support.
U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) plans to step down from his role as the Senate Republican leader at the end of the year, and independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently announced who he would like to see take the senator's place.
Kennedy wants U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) to replace McConnell.
