Dog Owner Fights Off Black Bear

A 29-year-old man fought off a black bear who attacked his 11-month old labrador puppy in the woods in Dedham, Maine, he said. The man said he punched and kicked the bear until the bear stopped biting the dog, and the bear scampered off, knocking the man over; "I stuck my finger right in its eye," he said.
