Dennis Eckersley To Retire At End of Major League Baseball Season

After 50 years in Major League Baseball — 24 years playing, 26 broadcasting — former Boston Red Sox pitcher and current NESN broadcaster Dennis Eckersley is retiring at the end of the year.  Eckersley played for the Red Sox from 1978 to 1984;  the final year of his career in 1998. He was signed by NESN in 2003.
