Democrats’ Vaccine and Mask Rules ‘Theatrics and Virtue-Signaling,’ MassGOP Chairman Says

Massachusetts House Republicans and Democrats gathered together at Kowloon restaurant in Saugus on September 23 to celebrate the legislative career of former state representative Brad Hill (R-Ipswich) — and the group posed for a maskless group photo. Kowloon is owned by the family of state representative Donald Wong (R-Saugus).

It happened the same day that the Massachusetts House of Representatives held a vote (H.4121) to require all its members and staff to be fully vaccinated against coronavirus if they want to work at the State House. It also requires these people to wear masks in the State House. The bill passed 131-28 with every Republican except state representative Sheila Harrington (R-Groton) voting against it and every Democrat voting in favor of it, plus Harrington.
