Democratic Mayor of Haverhill Comes Out Against Ranked-Choice Voting

The mayor of Haverhill is a Democrat, but he is no supporter of ranked-choice voting.

Jim Fiorentini tweeted over the weekend how he voted on a few ballot lines:  the presidential race and a pair of ballot questions. He said that he voted for former vice president Joe Biden, yes on the Right to Repair ballot initiative (Question 1), and no on ranked-choice voting (Question 2).

Man Charged With Setting Ballot Drop Box On Fire In Boston

Boston police arrested a man who they say lit a drop-off ballot box on fire near Copley Square in Boston on Monday.

Worldy Armand, 39, of Boston, was arrested and charged with willful and malicious burning, as Boston 25 reports. There were 122 ballots in the box at the time he set it on fire on Sunday. Among them, 87 are said to still be legible, but not the rest of them. The city will reportedly give people whose ballots were burned another opportunity to vote.
