Defense Lawyers' Work Stoppage Over State Pay Threatens Hundreds of Criminal Cases Massachusetts

Thousands of indigent defendants last month did not have an attorney defending them, undermining their constitutional right to have representation and risking the dismissal of as many criminal cases covering a wide range of charges, according to court filings reviewed by the NewBostonPost.
