Cultural Centers On Call At UConn for Students Emotionally Wounded By Ben Shapiro Appearance

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro spoke ("White Privilege Microaggressions and Other Leftist Myths") about abortion, gender identity, women's status in society, and free speech Wednesday night at the University of Connecticut at Storrs, where the school's chief diversity officer offered students the ability to express their concerns about his appearance at cultural centers on campus. UConn officials restricted the event to university affiliates out of concern about heckling and other disruptions, leading Shapiro to comment:  "Something has to be done about a system where a few crazed leftists decide they don't want to hear somebody speak, and therefore people from the outside who pay taxes to universities like this one can't get in."
