A police officer who ran to disarm and arrest a man who was firing his gun into the air in a crowded downtown got jeered at and had things thrown at him, police said.

Officer Dustin Summers, a police officer in Holyoke, Massachusetts, saw a 30-year-old man shooting a .40-caliber semiautomatic Smith & Wesson handgun during a recent mid-morning,

Opponents of immigration law enforcement apparently hung a sign naming a Newburyport salon owner's husband as a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent – even though his wife says he isn't.

The salon owner saw the sign hanging from a bridge near her salon early Saturday morning, July 13, a day after an anti-ICE rally in the area, according to the Newburyport Daily News.
