A small airplane was on its way from Westchester, New York to West Tisbury, Martha's Vineyard this past weekend when the one-year-short-of-being-an-octogenarian pilot suffered a medical emergency on final approach, requiring a Connecticut woman who is not a pilot to take over the craft.
The woman crashed the airplane near the runway sometime around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, USA Today reported.
U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia) is set to appear at an event this evening with Jon Huntsman, a Republican and former governor of Utah.
Many Americans are "exceedingly frustrated by the growing divide in our political parties and toxic political rhetoric from our elected leaders" and that our "political discourse is lacking engaged debates around common sense solutions to solve the pressing issues facing our nation," Manchin said in a written statement, according to The Hill.
