Connecticut Expanding Who Can Get The COVID-19 Vaccine In The Coming Weeks

Soon, any adult in the state of Connecticut will be eligible for a coronavirus vaccine.

The state's Democratic governor Ned Lamont announced this week that any adult resident of the state can start scheduling vaccine appointments on Monday, April 5, as WFSB points out. This is ahead of the schedule laid out by President Joe Biden, who wanted to see states to offer this service by May 1.

Charlie Baker’s Approval Rating Takes A Hit

Most people in Massachusetts approve of the state's Republican governor Charlie Baker, but his approval rating is on the decline.

A poll released by UMass Amherst this week showed that Baker's approval rating has dropped substantially over the past several months. It showed Baker with a 52 percent approval rating and a 39 percent disapproval rating. That represents a major decline from his position in August 2020 when 78 percent approved and 20 percent disapproved.
