Christians disenchanted by Western police and politicians

Last weekend, an immense annual Danish book fair took place in Copenhagen. As a journalist, I was invited to conduct an interview with a former Muslim who is now a Christian minister, Massoud Fouroozandeh. Our topic was an American book, recently translated into Danish, entitled "Defying ISIS" by Johnie Moore. The author's main concern is to point out how ISIS has declared that they intend to kill all Christians, first in the Middle East, then throughout the world.

Nearly three months ago I took up a practice that I wouldn't have predicted, even a week prior. A practice that seems kind of extreme and unnecessary. I stopped using my cell phone in the car.

I'd had a Significant Moment — a scary moment — of distracted mothering, and afterwards I realized I wanted to boost my attention to my surroundings. That my life was often a series of attention-divided moments — and not for the better.
