A bill that would bar males who identify as transgender from competing in girls' interscholastic sports in grades 5 through 12 has reached New Hampshire Governor Chris Sunni's desk, and he has hinted he may sign it into law.
The measure, New Hampshire House Bill 1205, passed 13-10 in the New Hampshire Senate and 189-182 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. All of the Republicans present for the votes supported the bill, while all of the Democrats opposed it.
