A Republican candidate for governor and lieutenant governor attended an event hosted by the Log Cabin Republicans of Greater Boston last week.
Wrentham businessman Chris Doughty, a Republican candidate for governor, and his running mate Kate Campanale, attended the organization's members social at The Boston Park Plaza Hotel on Thursday, August 18. The Log Cabins are a group of "LGBT Republicans and straight allies" who seek "to transform the GOP," according to the organization's web site.
People will be voting in-person in the 2022 Massachusetts statewide primary this week.
Although primary day is set for Tuesday, September 6, registered voters can vote in-person in this primary as early as Saturday, August 27. That's because it's the first day of early in-person voting.
