Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker is popular in the state, according to a recent approval rating poll released by MassInc. However, that approval rating varies depending on party affiliation.
Baker had a 68 percent approval rating overall with 23 percent disapproving of him. That approval rating was highest among Democrats and Democratic-leaners; 81 percent of them had a favorable opinion of him while 13 percent did not.
Sara Gideon is no longer Speaker of the House in Maine. Rather, Maine now has the youngest House Speaker in the country.
That position now goes to Ryan Fecteau, a 28-year-old openly homosexual Democrat, as CNN reports. Maine swears in new members of the legislature in early December, unlike Massachusetts, which does it in January.
