Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker won't endorse his potential Republican successor in the race for governor.

Baker has no intention of endorsing former state representative Geoff Diehl (R-Whitman), news reports said yesterday.

Former state representative Kate Campanale (R-Leicester) won't be the next lieutenant governor of Massachusetts.

Campanale lost the Republican primary for the post 52 percent to 48 percent to former state representative Leah Cole Allen (R-Peabody) while Wrentham businessman Chris Doughty lost his primary for governor to former state representative Geoff Diehl (R-Whitman) 56 percent to 44 percent.
