Change the Name of Providence Airport?
The airport, which is actually in Warwick, Rhode Island south of Providence, is known as T.F. Green, after Theodore Francis Green (1867-1966), a long-ago and little-remembered governor and U.S. Senator from Rhode Island. The airport manager and the mayor of Warwick are thinking about renaming it "Rhode Island International Airport" (since "Warwick International Airport" doesn't have the same ring); the Rhode Island General Assembly would have to agree to make the change.
