Cape Cod Jail Not Accepting New Prisoners Or Visitors Because of Coronavirus

Cape Cod's jail and house of correction has stopped accepting prisoners from local police departments and stopped allowing visitors and volunteers to try to stop coronavirus from infecting inmates and staff.

"If it got in here it would be very hard to contain," said James Cummings, sheriff of Barnstable County, which includes the whole Cape, according to The Cape Cod Times.
