Bush touts plan to dump Obamacare at New Hampshire forum

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush touted on Tuesday his plan to repeal and replace President Barack Obama's health care law with one that would increase tax credits for individuals, allowing them to buy coverage protection against "high-cost medical events."

"I won't accept the straw man argument that the opposite of Obamacare is no care," Bush said during a speech in New Hampshire.

There's a direct connection between increases to federal student aid and the skyrocketing costs of college tuition, according to a study released by the nonpartisan Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

The report examined three aid programs: Federal Direct Subsidized Loans, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans and Pell Grants, all of which increase credit supply for students trying to pay for college.
