Brookline High Transgender Girls’ Cross Country Runner Finishes Dead Last

The Brookline High girls' cross country team lost a home meet to Weymouth on Wednesday 22-35.
It was the first meet of the season where Chloe Barnes, a male who identifies as a transgender girl, competed — and Barnes finished in a distant 12th place out of 12 competitors, according to Athletic.net. Barnes finished the 2.78-mile course in 22:59.83, nearly 40 seconds behind the girl who came in 11th.
