The Brookline High girls' cross country team lost a home meet to Weymouth on Wednesday 22-35.
It was the first meet of the season where Chloe Barnes, a male who identifies as a transgender girl, competed — and Barnes finished in a distant 12th place out of 12 competitors, according to Athletic.net. Barnes finished the 2.78-mile course in 22:59.83, nearly 40 seconds behind the girl who came in 11th.
The oddsmakers, unsurprisingly, see the New England Patriots as underdogs this week.
Most sportsbooks have the 1-4 Patriots as 3-point underdogs against the Las Vegas Raiders (2-3) this upcoming Sunday, according to Vegas Insider. The game is scheduled for Sunday, October 15 in Las Vegas (4:05 p.m. start time) and air on local CBS affiliate stations.
