Brockton Dem Who Spread ICE Rumor Accuses Media Of Harassment, Asks For Campaign Donations

The Brockton state representative who found herself at the heart of a firestorm of criticism after she circulated a rumor on social media alleging that federal immigration had planned a series of citywide raids has doubled-down on her decision, telling reporters she still believes she did the right thing.

"Passing information along that is already all over the community not only lets the people I represent know what is happening, it lets ICE know that everyone in Brockton is aware of their intended raid," Michelle DuBois, a Democrat, said, reading from a prepared statement.
