A member of the Boston School Committee stepped down this week as a result of anti-white text messages she sent in October last year.
Lorna Rivera made anti-white remarks via text message on the day of a hearing where school committee chairman Michael Loconto was heard mocking the names of Asian attendees. Loconto resigned in short order.
Where's the best place in the country to go cycling?
One list says it's Provincetown, Massachusetts. The town known for it's high population of homosexuals landed at the top of the list of PeopleForBike's top-10 small cities for biking in the United States. The organization based it on the community perception of biking and the quality of the biking community's biking network. It was not based on the infrastructure for cyclists in the community.
