Boston Public Library To Begin ‘Pride Month’ With ‘Pride Flag’ Event For Children

Boston Public Library is beginning the so-called 'Pride Month' on Saturday, June 1 with an event involving children ages 6 to 12 creating pride flags.

The library is hosting The History Project, which is "focused exclusively on documenting and preserving the history of New England's LGBTQ communities and sharing that history with LGBTQ individuals, organizations, allies, and the public."

A Lawrence resident who was once a pitching prospect for the Houston Astros received a federal prison sentence in Boston on Thursday for his role in a fentanyl trafficking conspiracy.

Fredis Manuel Guerrero Guzman, 28, received a 21-month prison sentence plus two years of supervised release, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts.
