Boston names Morales Youth & Families commissioner

BOSTON – Mayor Marty Walsh named William Morales, a local YMCA leader, as commissioner of the Boston Centers for Youth & Families, an agency that provides resources and services to the city's youth and senior populations.
"William has worked tirelessly for over 20 years to make sure Boston's children and teenagers are getting the care, attention and services they need every day," Walsh said in a statement Tuesday about the appointment. The mayor cited the Roxbury native's commitment to the community, his strong leadership and his compassion for Bostonians young and old.
