The annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in South Boston scheduled for Sunday, March 15 has been cancelled.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh announced the decision on the evening of Monday, March 9, saying it stems from "an abundance of caution" over the spread of coronavirus:

Bernie Sanders is now a long shot to earn the Democratic Party's presidential nomination this year, according to FiveThirtyEight.

Prior to Super Tuesday, Sanders was still the favorite to earn the nomination, but as of Monday, March 9. the site gave Biden 14 in 15 odds (93.3 percent) of receiving more than half of the pledged primary delegates. Meanwhile, the web site gave Sanders a one in 100 chance (one percent).
