Boston Celtics’ Maine Developmental Affiliate Suspends Season

For the Boston Celtics affiliate team, there will be no basketball in the near future, either.

On Thursday, March 12 the NBA G League, formerly known as the NBA D (Developmental) League, announced that in response to the NBA's decision to suspend its season for the time being, the league would be following suit, as Celtics Wire reports.

No gatherings of 25 or more people, no public or private schools open, no restaurants or bars serving customers on the premises, no elective surgeries, no visitors to nursing homes.

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced draconian restrictions on public life shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday, March 15 to try to slow the spread of coronavirus.
