BOSTON – Seeking to encourage active living and safety for Hub residents, the Boston Public Health Commission launched the "I Bike" campaign on Wednesday.
Seven Bostonians are featured on campaign posters alongside their wheels as they share their reasons for biking. Plans call for the advertising blitz to run through the summer and will include promotions for the BostonBikes.org informational website and the expanded Hubway bike-sharing program in the city.
While it may be somewhat infamously known as "Rat City," the Allston neighborhood is also home to many college students, young professionals, and families that bring an eclectic culture to an unknown part of Boston.
Now that I've called this neighborhood home for the second year in a row, I hope to share with you some hidden gems off the B-Line in Allston.
