Former Boston Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine recently picked up an endorsement in his bid to become the next mayor of Stamford, Connecticut.
Valentine, 71, who managed the Red Sox in 2012, was endorsed by the Stamford Police Association. Here is what the union said about him in an opinion piece for The Stamford Advocate:
